I love coming here. Them Ky, the noodle spot next door, and Turtle Tower, are my go to spots for noodles. I LOVE NOODLES. I bike here so parking is always easy for me. I love this spot because every time I arrive around 11:45am, I find a seat easily. I order the usual pho with everything in it. It arrives quickly. I slurp it down, enjoying my food. After I'm done eating, I ask for the bill. They promptly give it to me. I'm in and out fast. Because I have a limited amount of time for lunch, I know I can dine quickly with no hassle. I've only tried the pho so I can't comment on anything else.
The prices are reasonable. The quantity is awesome!
My friends like the dry pho spot across the street at the corner, but the quantity they have isn't enough for Metz that's why I always go here for my pho phix.
I would totally recommend this place. -

Christmas Day. Family just arrived from the airport and are hungry. Unfortunately we decided to not cook for lunch and was looking for places to eat. We went to three different restaurants before we find a place that was open on Christmas Day, thankfully. I've always eaten at the restaurant next door and never paid much attention to this one. Although the place doesn't look as appealing as many other places! I got to admit the food isn't as terrible as expected. I ordered the Chinese pancake (or I know it as rice cake) with egg. It came out insanely fast compared to other places I'd typically order this dish at. The dish was not bad. I wasn't a big fan of the sauce that accompanies it. A little overly sweet for me but after adding some vinager, it matched my taste buds.
Overall, the food wasn't too bad. However, one of my family's member's dish took a while. The rest of us finished our dishes and hers still didn't come. -

This is one of those Chinese-Vietnamese places in Little Saigon that consistently serves up good quality dishes at really, really affordable prices. As a food destination, SF has really become quite bifurcated between cheap ethnic places and expensive fine dining establishments.
As much as I enjoy the experience at a Michelin-starred restaurant, sometimes I just want to eat some deep fried fish with some white rice and eat with my hands. This place probably serves the most inexpensive and still good quality deep fried fish (Tilapia for $9, Pompano for $10) in all of SF. The service is OK but it can get quite loud. There's a lot of great ethnic places in the area but this restaurant holds its own. Note that they accept cash only. -

Pretty authentic Vietnamese-Chinese cuisine in the heart of the Tenderloin where "Little Saigon" in SF is located. My friend and I stumbled into this mom and pop shop after Hai Ky, the restaurant we intended to go to next door, was surprisingly closed on the Wednesday evening we decided to try there. Luckily, Them Ky was open and saved us from further starving.
The ladies running the store were all very nice and unlike most Vietnamese mom and pop shops, they gave us more than just a minute to look over the menu thoroughly and then came to take our orders.
The food came out within 5-10 minutes and the serving size was quite large and well worth their prices. I ordered the Beef Bun Cha and my friend had the Pho Beef Ball Soup, and we both ordered a Grass Jelly in Coconut Milk drink. Though my Bun Cha ended up coming out with Chicken meat instead of the Beef I had ordered, I didn't mind. My friend also said her dish was really good and finished the whole thing! The drinks were okay, I was a little disappointed in the grass jelly, as they had the texture of jello (when it's supposed to be more like a very viscous soup), and the jelly tasted like they were from a can and not made fresh.
Overall, I would definitely come back here if I'm in the neighborhood to try some of their rice or dry dishes. This is not a final verdict, but I hope this place will blow my mind with other dishes or drinks! -

A solid Vietnamese place. Also I think some of the workers speak Chinese/Cantonese so that helps. Been here a couple times and I've tried to the pho as well as a com/broken rice dish. Pho is standard and hot. And their rice dishes are pretty legit too. It's pretty inexpensive considering it's SF. They have a like a million options on their menu. And there are pictures of a lot of the dishes that line the wall. Service is on par for an Asian place. You go and pay at the counter when you're done. And it's cash only too.
